This was the worst experience that you could possibly have when it comes to a service like this. They are all sweet and nice when you place an order and they take your money but when it comes to delivering the flowers it never happened. I called five to six times and sat on hold for 20 minutes each time before being hung up on by the automated system. When I would call and select the prompt to order flowers someone would pick the phone up right away. Then when I would tell them I have a problem they hang up on me. I never talked with any type of aggression I was nothing but polite and nice trying to get the problem resolved and nothing. I wish there was something I could do other than just write this review to show the disappointment and protect others from having the same problem. I am a business owner and I would be a complete failure if this is how I took care of my people. That's that.

Ava's Flowers

On 13 January 2017, I ordered flowers from Ava's for my mother in Sun City. They were promised for delivery that day. As of 28 January 2017, the flowers still had not been delivered. I contacted Ava's by phone and after an extended hold, finally got a representative. I explained the situation and asked for a refund. I was informed that all they could do was a store credit. I found this unacceptable and asked for a supervisor. I was told I would be called back by a supervisor between 1230 and 1300 hours that day. As of this writing on 30 January, I still have not recieved a call. I received an email stating that they could not find a record of my order. My credit card was billed on 13 January2017 in the amount of 72.92 USD. I am now disputing the charge through my credit card company. I would not recommend Ava's Flowers. I put in an order for my 4 yr old son on 2/10/17 to be scheduled for valentines day. It is now 10 mins til 3 pm. I have called several times,emailed and all. Is this a fraud type company? I should've stuck with 1800flowers.

Doooon't ever buy anything from avas flowers, as soon as you will pay them they will never deliver your order and will never pick up the phone. Ive ordered not a small basket of flowers with the card on Valentine's day for my wife. They promised me that it will be delivered everything will be alright. Asa soon as i paid i never heard from them. I spent 4 hours trying to them at least to get my money back , nothing!!!!!!!! NEVER USE THESE GUYS, NEVER!!!!!

I've used this mickey mouse operation before and have generally had a good experience, but this time they have shown their true colors. I ordered flowers of the month for a Christmas present. Here it is February and the recipient has yet to receive any flowers. I've had multiple conversation with low level,outsourced script readers that couldn't find their way out of a wet paper bag. I've been trying to get a refund for, oh going on a week now. Have spent hours on the phone and every time I call I get put into thru their transfer loop and rarely do I get to someone that actually has some idea of what is going on. Most reputable businesses have a direct line to management, so you don't have to deal with that. But not this joke of a business, you have to firmly stop the script readers long enough to them you want to speak with a manager. The way they have handled this transaction is unexceptable! In no way have they tried to make it right. If you are thinking of going with this company, may I suggest calling a local shop and pay the extra couple bucks and support local business.

I ordered a rose plant for a dear friend who lost his mother. The ad showed a rose bush in a beautiful bright basket with a big bow. Not at all what I got. Long story short It took several calls and several people to agree to send another with promise that it would be right. Second attempt they got the exact same thing only red flowers instead of yellow. Again I call several people later and a manager they agreed to give me $15 credit. How generous. I will never order from them again. They lead you to believe they are a local Florist. They are not. As you can see from the pictures, what I thought I was getting and what was actually sent are two very different things.

I wish I saw these reviews before I ordered flowers yesterday!

Yesterday I ordered a flower arrangement for my Daughter and paid for expedited delivery so they would be delivered before 1:00 pm. When I spoke with my daughter last night to wish her a happy birthday she did not receive any flowers. I called this morning, after waiting for 20 on hold when I spoke with a person he said he'd look into it and get back to me within 2 hours. Well four hours later no call back, I made several calls and keep getting put on hold only to be dropped. Still no idea of what happened, still no flowers delivered. I'm on my own so I'll dispute the charges with my credit card and file a complaint with the BBB and explain my experience on the Avas Facebook wall. If you're thinking about using them read all the reviews, I'm sorry I didn't. Avas if you care my failed order # was 393****

Delivery nothing like whatever's ordered. "45% web flash discount" is bogus. Fooled me once. Wont fool me again. It is not a local florist. it is a nationwide referral website. You have no idea who you are getting and they apparently have no idea what you ordered.

I can relate somewhat. I tried calling them and sending them an email asking for help with an order I wanted to place but no one ever answered me or got back with me at all.

I was trying to place an order to have something delivered as a birthday-gift but I don't think it will work, not with them anyway. Terrible service!

Ordered flowers for my 88 yr old mom for Valentine's Day. I ordered them a week ahead but they were never delivered!! I have called customer service at least a dozen times but you can not talk to anyone. They put you on hold for forever than a recording comes on saying they will call me back. They give me options for call back the next day, I made the call at 9:30am but they couldn't call me back until the next day??? The absolute worse company to deal with. I checked online for status of delivery and it says it is scheduled for re-delivery. How can it be re-delivery if there was never a delivery attempt in the first place. My mom was home all day and nothing was delivered. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, no that will matter to them after reading all the horrible reviews!!! I should have checked that first!!

I ordered valentine day flowers for delivery on valentines day of course. After recalling inquiring about where the flowers were an automated message told me they were going to be delivered on the 15th, the day after. I was able to speak to a person and told them this was unacceptable and cancelled my delivery. I have spoke to a live person on two of my several calls and was promptly connected to an automated, song playing message telling me how good they are. I am looking for a full refund which I conveyed to a live body yesterday and was told to call the next day after 0900am. I am still listening to music. A florist from Cheshire Ct called inquiring whether or not someone would be home to receive the flowers. Again I informed this person that I did not want any flowers and it was news to her that order was canceled.

My husband ordered me flowers to be delivered to my job on Valentines day, they said it would take two hours. it was all good, in two hours I would have still been here at work. Here it is today the day after and they still have not arrived. We have been calling the customer service line for 2 days and finally got ahold of a live person without getting disconnected 1,000 *** times. So when he finally got ahold of someone they wanted to just refund his 14.95 and a 20 dollar credit. Mind you he spent over 200 dollars. So they refunded the money, but needless to say I never got my flowers. I am one pissed wife. They should have at least sent the flowers and gave a refund, the customer is always right. But they are all a bunch of ***-tards and never once said oh I'm so sorry, how can I make this right for you?

Delivery after the funeral was over!

On Thursday I ordered a plant for a funeral. The delivery was scheduled, and confirmed by email, for Friday by 4 PM to the funeral home for the 5-7 PM visitation. The funeral was 11 AM Saturday. I received a phone call Saturday around 2 PM that the delivery was made to the church, and the delivery person was advised that the funeral was over. I told the service rep that I felt I deserved a refund as they failed to meet their commitment. He put me on hold, and then I was disconnected. I called back, told my story again. I was again put on hold, supposedly waiting to speak with a supervisor. Again I was disconnected. I called back a 3rd time. This rep spoke to the supervisor without putting me on hold. I was told the best they would do was a $20 credit, deliver the plant to any address I wanted (11 children in the family, which one gets the plant?) and $20 gift certificate for future use, like I want to business with them again! I told him that was not satisfactory. He then attempted to connect me with an "executive", for the 3rd time I was disconnected. I'll never do business with them again, very poor customer service!!
