I went on their site and ordered an exotic arrangement at approximately $60 before taxes handling etc. they called to say they could not get the tulips and wanted to sub a different flower. I agreed. However what they ended up sending was an arrangement on their site for $20 less! I contacted them and all they said was they wound give me 20% off a next purchase. Felt like a bait and switch tactic. I won't use them again

I ordered flowers on a Tuesday to be delivered same day and it is Friday and they still haven't come. They emailed me and said the flowers weren't up to par so they were sending a different bouquet.

I tried to cancel the order and get a refund but the lady on the phone didn't speak English. Not happy

Absolutely horrible customer service for Mother's Day 2014

We ordered flowers for my mother on May 9, 2014. We paid the extra express delivery fee to be delivered on May 10, 2014. Delivery was not made. When my wife called them back they said it would be there on Monday, May 12. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and of course they were never delivered. I call to find out what's going on and they can't even tell me where the originating flowers were coming from. They then said they would give me a credit to use for the future and attempt redelivery. I told him there was not a chance in *** I would order flowers from them again or use the credit. I advised them to immediately credit back my visa $81.93. The credit better be there Do not use this company ever they are complete and total joke!!!!

Flores arrived droopy and half dead. Major rip off

AvasFlowers - Flores arrived droopy and half dead. Major rip off
My daughter sent us flowers for a birthday. They arrived by UPS in a box. When we opened them they were half dead because of a lack of moisture or water. We put them in a vase and added water but most of the pedals were already turning brown. In the morning they were virtually dead. Major rip off. I recommend finding a local florist nearby to where you are sending them. Check them out carefully or look for a personal recommendation. Whatever you do stay away from Ava's florists. It's a waste of your money. Better to buy flowers from anyone else.

Spoiled Surprise, Late, Rude, Pitiful Bunch of Flowers!!

My boyfriend ordered flowers for me as a birthday present. He paid extra to get them delivered on a specific date. They didn't deliver them on the date he paid for but rather 3 days later when it was too late. Neither of us were contacted to be told they wont be delivered and when we rang to enquire about where they were and to ask for a refund the staff were less than helpful. We were offered 20% off our next order- needless to say will definitely not be ordering from this company again. When they did arrive they arrived in a cardboard box, completely squashed and they looked like a bunch of flowers that had been sitting outside a garage for 2 weeks- actually a bunch of flowers from a garage probably would look a lot better than the pathetic excuse for flowers that I received. Bare in mind they were roses which don't come cheap either. The amount of petals that fell off when I opened them I could have made a new bunch of roses with, I'm basically left with 12 green stems!! I'm not happy at the quality of the product or customer service either. So disappointed.

Poor service, 4.5_hrs late of scheduled delivery. spoiled surprise

When flowers are ordered for some one, it should be a surprise. You dont call that person and ask them what time they work till so you can schedule your delivery. That is why the purchaser schedules the delivery with you while placing the order. This was my first ever flower purchase, will never deal with Avas again. Along with that the delivery person John was so lazy that he wanted to leave the flowers at the front desk of a hospital instead of delivering to the recipient. Wish I would've used a different company services. NEVER will I deal with AVAS flowers again.

Total scam.

I placed an order specifying the address to which I wanted it delivered. The delivery was "free" but then they charged a $13 service fee. The flowers were allegedly on sale so the total was $52 for a birthday arrangement. I scheduled it to be delivered the next day. At 130 PM the next day they call and say I have to pay an additional THIRTY DOLLARS if I want my order delivered. I told the man I was highly dissatisfied and he said "ok". NEVER AGAIN. Of course, I no longer have time to arrange a delivery for my aunt's birthday. Ridiculous lack of service.

A terrible experience. Don't order from them.

This company is terrible. Ordered flowers for my niece. They had to be delivered on Saturday morning. I paid extra to ensure early delivery. Two days later, on Monday afternoon, I received a corporate, standardized email stating that they did not feel that their delivery was up to par, so they were going to make a new arrangement for delivery the next day. Called my niece. Turns out the flowers had never arrived, and she was on her was to the airport and would be out-of-the-country. In other words, Ava's form email was misleading if not an outright lie. I contacted Ava, and was told to speak with customer service. I did. They refused to refund my money. Because they unilaterally ordered her flowers for the next day (when she would not be home . . . and never mind the fact that the occasion had already passed), the "best" they would do is either a 50% refund or full store credit.

Flowers not delivered for funeral service

Had ordered 2.5 days in advance for a funeral service in Fresno. I had picked the Avas Flowers in Clovis to deliver a Red rose cross pillow to go in the casket (cost altogether was $62.90). The vigil was from 2 until 6pm at Stephens & Bean Funeral Chapel 202 N. Teilman Avenue, Fresno, CA 93706. On that day, kept checking and the online status did not have any updates. Had sent email to the contacts given in the website. The customer service clerk at the store at 6pm said she did not have any status from the driver. However, I gave her the address for the mass following day Saturday, June 21st @ 10 am Our Lady of Perpetual Help 929 Harvard Avenue Clovis, CA 93612 She said would convey the message. We were there in Clovis that morning for the mass. The pillow was not there. So it was not delivered. When I checked on Monday, the clerk at the store said it was not delivered. However I received 4 emails from the store managers saying it was delivered previous day(Friday)... I checked with my friends who also did receive some late deliveries at the funeral home. Unfortunately our card nor flower pillow was not one of them. This is just outright cheating.... DO NOT TRUST these CROOKS....

No flowers!!!

ordered flowers for a wake, never arrived. showed up at the funeral as we were leaving the church. offered a credit of $20 to use in the future. not going to happen. embarrassing to myself, my friend and her family. unacceptable and insulting. did not live up to what was offered, never should have advertised as such. of all things to mess up, at a families weakest moment. ordered in plenty of time, for a local address. no call, no apology, never responded to email except to say "will look into it". asked if I wanted to open an account to get points!!!!!

Colors did not change

I just got some rainbow roses from this company. I thought that it would cool and all to flowers that kept changin colors. I was pissed that thays was just colored roses and wouldna be a changin. I think this is *** because I think any educated folk would think that the roses would become different colors. I am stumped and stuck with a bunch of *** roses just sitting on my porch. I got no help from customer service. This will be the darn darn time I order from those folks. I am greatly upset by this. Pissed off.

the colors will change after the rain and the sun got out again. the reason why it is Rainbow *** roses

Guest

As an educated person, I would surmise by the name "rainbow roses", that either each individual rose was dyed a rainbow of colors, or that the bouquet of roses were all different colors. Not that when I wake up every day, the flowers will magically be a new color.

If the fact that you misinterpreted the name of this arrangement, or had unrealistic expectations of what the arrangement would do is your worst experience, consider yourself lucky. Myself and others have not been so fortunate.

Now go enjoy the flowers that actually got delivered to you! ;)

I don't even think this a real company. Do not order from them under any circumstances, unless you just want to give your money away and get nothing in return

Sympathy Flowers Delivered not To Funeral Home and Làte

I ordered a sympathy stànding basket on Saturday to be delivered to the funeral home on Sunday by 4:00 pm. The email confirmation Ava's Flowers sent me had the order correct. On Monday I checked the status and found the standing basket had not been delivered and was now scheduled for Wednesday by 4 pm. Since the funeral was at 10 am on Wednesday in Dallas 4 hours away, I modified the order to delivery on Monday afternoon by 4 pm. That evening it was scheduled for redelivery so I called Ava's and spoke to a lady who assured me it would be delivered Tuesday morning. Tuesday afternoon the order was still not there so I called again and was told it would be there Wednesday morning. I said the casket would be in Dallas by then and was told the flowers would be delivered to the funeral home. They were sent to the cemetery and were brought in after the service started and sat in a corner for the 15 minutes remaining in the service. The basket never stood, the flowers missed the viewings and part of the service. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

Hidden Service Charge at Ava's/Laurel, MD

The website claims a $29.99 bouquet, reduced from $52.99, and no delivery fee. Only after you receive your subtotal and give your credit card information, do they apply a "service charge" of nearly $20.00 - essentially, it is a hidden fee somewhere on the review page (not noticeable). When you call to ask information, you are routed to INDIA which is when you find out about the "service" fee that was applied because the flowers are from a FARM! So guess what, you will likely be subject to a service fee because so many flowers come from...yes...flower farms! SO DON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ ON AVA'S WEBSITE!

Ava's flowers never delivered, customer service very evasive

I ordered a flower arrangement 7/2014, and for three days they never were delivered. Kept getting the run around with customer service and was told the manager was "too busy" to take my call. I had to stop payment with my bank because after three days of failure to return calls and emails and failure to deliver, I decided to recognize that this was a scam and reported the company. I logged twenty calls, talked to and got four different CS employees with their extension number that when entered the automated system hung up on me, and ten emails with no answer to my queries, just prompting me to call them back. I never got any resolution and they never gave any information who the local florist was who was completing my order. Extremely evasive, though the customer service staff was always respectful, however not helpful.
